    Upper Mustang Jeep safari is one of the thrilling and adventurous overland tour in restricted area of Nepal. Upper Mustang is also called the Last Forbidden Kingdom because visitors were not allowed to enter the region until 1990 AD. This 4wd Jeep safari tour package is planned for those visitors who are physically unfit and for those who don’t have adequate time to spend in the Himalayan region. The renowned off road trail of Upper Mustang is widely known for its ancient features including wall cave, Buddhist monasteries, city within walled (Lo-Manthang), natural mines, archaeological sites, stone fossils and the beauty of hidden treasures.

We will drive along with world’s deepest George of Kaligandaki river.     Upon your landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, Nepal, a representative of Adventure Himalayan Travels and Treks will warmly greet you and shift you to your hotel.

    If you make it to Kathmandu by afternoon, it would be pleasing to explore Thamel, a vibrant tourist town in the heart of the capital city, and later on, enjoy the complementary dinner in the evening hosted by us along with the briefing session to discuss the necessary equipment and preparation.

      After Breakfast process the  sightseeing around Kathmandu valley, visit UNESCO world heritage sites. Specially visit Pashupatinath temple,Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath and  Patan Durbar Square, Then transfer to airport and fly to Pokhara. 

      Pick up from Pokhara airport and transfer to hotel. Pokhara offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare, five peaks of Annapurna and others. Pokhara is city of lakes and has numerous beautiful lakes. We can explore the most accessible and beautiful, Fewa Lake during the late afternoon -enjoy boating too. Explore, relax and dine by tranquil Lake Fewa

        Having breakfast, the jeep drive begins through a wonderful and wide road, which is itself picturesque. You keep on exploring the sites on the way. After 3 hours of driving, you reach Beni and now, it's truly a journey to the wonderland, following the Kali Gandaki River. The route includes a mind-blowing waterfall- Rupse Waterfalls (310 meters). It's great to stop and take pictures. The adventurous section begins right after driving from the waterfall part. It is because of the landslide area. The border part of Mustang begins from Ghasa, where you need to check in permits. 

        Welcome to Mustang. The road is amazing along with the surrounding scenery. On the way, there are various attractive villages like Lete, Kobang, Tukuche, and finally, Marpha welcome you. Overnight at the hotel.

          Marpha is a picturesque town, which is an amalgamation of traditional culture and lifestyles to the modern style of tourism. Spending quality time exploring around Marpha offers you a great memory. It is dominated by apple orchards, and traditional houses, has a monastery, and the Himalayan views offer blessings.

          After a yummy breakfast, drive to Jomsom, which is a district center of Mustang. There are banks, ATMs, bakeries, hotels, government offices, and many more. Its tiny airport serves air travelers from Pokhara. 

          From Jomsom, we will drive towards Dhumba Lake via Thini. Dhumba Lake is also one of the best attractions of this tour, at the bosom of Mt. Nilgiri. Spend quality time near the Lake, and drive to Kagbeni. It's a spiritual center, located at the juncture of two Rivers. Hindu people perform the Shraddha ritual in memory of dead ancestors. Well, Muktinath is on the way, which is about a 40-minute drive further. This beautiful Himalayan town is a spiritual center for the Hindu and Buddhist devotees around the globe.  is a globally renowned Visnu temple. It is believed that if you pay homage to the temple, your sins will be washed away. There are 108 water sprouts and 2 sacred ponds. 

          After Muktinath, drive further to Chhuksang via Kagbeni, which is another 2.5-hour further drive. Welcome to the Upper Mustang region. Overnight at the hote

            A typical sandy rock scenery and astonishing surroundings make the breakfast further amazing. Then the drive begins through the winding road, passing Samar, Syangbochen, and Ghiling. On the way, we will see beautiful Chhortens. We cross two high passes further: Nyi La Pass (4010 meters) and Ghami La Pass (3765 meters). Driving ahead, we take a right turn towards Charang, through a spectacular winding road. The village is so beautiful and unique. We continue driving to Lomanthang- the capital of Upper Mustang, which is spectacular. Having lunch, drive to the Jhong Cave.  This Five-storied Jhong Cave has 40 rooms inside the cave in total. Then visit the Lowo Nyiphug Namdrol Norbuling Monastic School-Chhoser. After the tour, drive back to Lomanthang. Overnight at the hotel. 

              It's great to explore the ancient palace and the typical houses at Lomanthang. Although there is no more monarchy in Nepal, the local people from Upper Mustang still have high respect for the royal family. Exploring the Lomanthang palace is like going back to centuries in the time machine. After a short exploration, drive back to Tsarang and drive further to Luri Gompa. It is situated at about 100 meters high on steep rock cliffs. Then drive back to Tsarang and drive to Dhakmar, where Lo Ghekar monastery is there. Built in the 8th century, before the Samya Monastery of Tibet, which can be claimed as the oldest monastery in the world. This is a sacred Buddhist pilgrimage destination for all the devotees around the world. The story is connected with the arrival of Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava). Then drive back to Tsarang.  Overnight at the hotel

                Start the overland tour by having breakfast at the hotel. We drive back to Ghami and explore the Ghami village. The beautiful village has village ruins. It used to be the rest point for trekking and since the road has been opened, the story has changed. We drive further to Ghiling and Syangbochen village. On the way, we stop at multiple points to arrest impressive sceneries of chores. From Syangbochen, drive towards the Chungsi cave. Sometimes, you may need to hire a horse from here. The 8th Century Ranchung Chungsi Cave of Upper Mustang is the epitome of the Buddhist cultural heritage.  It is the cave of Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava), who meditated and spent his spiritual life while he was chasing a demon from Tibet.

                After visiting the cave, drive back to the Samar village via Yamada La (3860 meters) and Bhena La (3860 meters). Samar has a few recently built hotels with amazing views and wonderful hospitality. Overnight at the hotel. 

                  A scenic drive after having breakfast at Samar takes you back to Tatopani via Chele, Chhuksang, Tangbe, Kagbeni, Jomsom, and Marpha. As the road is so easy, you may stop at your preferred places to take pictures. Tatopani is a beautiful settlement and the most interesting thing is it has a natural hot spring side, which is great for your muscles. Overnight at the hotel.

                    here will be just 5 hours driving to Pokhara from Tatopani and the road is amazing. So, no rush is required. Enjoying the view of Mt. Dhaulagiri, drive back to Pokhara, and check in at the hotel. In the evening, explore the local market at the lakeside. overnight at the hotel

                      After Breakfast fly or drive to kathmandu. 

                        After spending a night in Kathmandu completing the Upper Mustang Tour, based on the 15-day itinerary, it is your last day in Nepal, where airport representatives from AHT$T will help you with packing and transfer you to the TIA, or you can choose to hop on a similar kind of Himalayan journey, such as the Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar Hike or the Annapurna Circuit Expedition, at an affordable cost.
