This temple is aptly named Manakamana as wishes of many devotees have been materialized simply by worshipping Manakamana Temple. Manakamana Devi is considered to be one of the incarnations of Durga Bhagwati and legend takes Manakamana as the younger sister of Goddess Kali. There are two main ways to make it to Manakamana. We can either ascend the steep hill for about 3hours at Abukhaireni or we can take the cable car at Cheres, which is about 104km from Kathmandu. By Cable Car, Manakamana can be accessed in mere 10minutes that include pleasant scenes of Trishuli River. From the hilltop, we can have fascinating views of Annapurna, Himalchuli and the Manaslu Mountains.
