Kathmandu and Pokhara Tour with ‘Adventure Himalayan Travels and Treks’ is a brief tour package of 6 days. Nepal is the Garden of Eden for travelers where time seems fleeting amid its rich culture, ancient traditions and rituals, wild and raw nature and archaic heritage. The tour initiates from Kathmandu, where we spend a day sightseeing. We will check out Swayambunath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Pasupatinath Temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Swayambunath Temple is full of rich symbolism and is one of the oldest religious sites in Nepal. The temple offers an incredible view of the city of Kathmandu. Boudhanath Stupa is one of the largest Buddhist shrines in the world. Here we can see monks and devotees circumnavigating the stupa. Pasupatinath Temple is the most famous Hindu temple in the country, located on the banks of the Bagmati River. You can see sadhus (holy men) meditating, pilgrims bathing, and sometimes funeral pyres burning. Kathmandu Durbar Square is an old palace of the former Kathmandu Kingdom. It is one of three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley.
The following day, we drive to Pokhara, via Prithvi Highway, through paddy fields with mountains as the backdrop. Early the following morning, we will drive to Sarangkot to view the sunrise. Sarangkot is one of the best places in Nepal to see the sunrise with panoramic mountain views. Afterwards, we will drive back to hotel and take breakfast before proceeding to Pokhara City sightseeing tour. Our sights include: Bindawasini Temple, Gupteswar Cave, Davis Falls, and Seti Gorge. Bindawasini is one of the most popular temples in Pokhara. The temple is dedicated to goddess Bhagwati, another manifestation of Shakti. Bindawasini is the mother goddess who fulfills the wishes of her devotees.
Locally known as the Patale Chhango, Davis Fall (also known as Devin's and David's) is a lovely waterfall lying about two km south-west of the Pokhara Airport on the Siddhartha Highway. Another cave famous for it's religious importance located in the southern end of the city, is Gopteswar. This cave is a sacred and natural cave where there is temple of Lord Shiva. Finally, one of Pokhara's natural wonders that unfailingly interests visitors is the Seti River. Amazingly, at certain points the river appears hardly two meters wide. But its depth is quite beyond imagination over 20 meters.
Enrolling in our Kathmandu and Pokhara Tour is a wonderful experience of having a peek at some of the Majestic rugged mountain ranges and snow-clad mountains, not to forget the pillar of the world - Mount Everest which stands tall with 8848m towering height. Nepal Splendid Tour is a perfect package to spend some quality with family, friends, or even strangers!
