What can you expect from the Nepal Cultural Heritage and Nature Experiences Tour?

The Nepal Cultural Heritage and Nature Experiences Tour is a first choice for every traveler seeking a varied and interesting experience exploring the nation's most treasured cultural heritage and natural monuments, priming an astonishing balance of natural beauty and cultural immersion, as briefed below:

The rich cultural discoveries in the Kathmandu Valley

The cultural heritage and nature experience tour to Nepal begins in the Kathmandu Valley, boasting seven of its worldwide significant cultural, historical, and religious values, such as the holiest Pashupatinath Temple, the colossal and sacred Boudhnath Stupa, the majestic Swyambhunath, three cities, and Changu Narayan Temple, slightly in the distance.

It would be an amazing experience to experience the bustling energy of Thamel with every sort of souvenir to carry with you, including traditional handicrafts, while each of the above-mentioned sites gives you access to insider insight into Nepal’s history, architecture, spiritual traditions, and rituals, as well as serving as a treasure trove of delightful cultural discoveries as follows:

Pashupatinath Temple: Dating back to 400 A.D., Pashupatinath Temple holds immense religious importance for Hindus and Buddhists worldwide. Lying on the bank of the Bagmati River, it is revered as one of the oldest and holiest pagoda-style temples in Nepal, dedicated to one of the supreme Hindu lords, Shiva, with a cremation ground.

Boudhanath: Close to the sacred shrine of Pashupatinath lies the stupa believed to have been first built during the Licchavi Dynasty by Kind Manadeva to atone for his sins in the 5th century. Boudhanath Stupa is about 11 km from the center of Kathmandu, a spiritual center for Tibetan Buddhists. It is one of the largest stupas in the world, particularly famous for its peaceful eyes that seem as if they are gazing at your soul, adored by vibrant prayer flags in an aromatic ambiance.

Swayambhunath: It is yet another dome-structured stupa in the heart of the Kathmandu Valley, which is found to be over 2,000 years old and has the legend of emerging spontaneously. Cherished by both Hindus and Buddhists, the Swaymbhunath is the epitome of the harmonious coexistence of Hinduism and Buddhism, mostly noted for mischievous monkeys, while the hilltop grants you a 360-degree full view of the valley.

The Tri-Cities of ancient Durbar Squares: The three interconnected historic cities of the Kathmandu Valley that once served as the royal palaces for the respective kings of that ancient time are what is referred to as the “Tri-Cities” of Nepal, showcasing Newari craftsmanship, rich cultural and religious heritages, and rich traditions. A perfect destination to unwind in the aroma of Nepali species, burning incense, and lively atmosphere.

The tour was very good. Tour company owner and our primary contact Rana and our driver Dinesh were very good to deal with. Rana picked us up from the airport and sat us down to explain what to expect for the next 7 days on our tour. We went in August, which happens to be the rainy season, and thus was not a busy season, so it eneded up being a private tour. We had the same driver throughout the tour, but our guides changed at each destination. And they were all very good to deal with. Knowing the standard of accommodations isn't what we were used to, we paid a little bit extra to upgrade to 4 star hotels, and it was definitely worth it. I strongly recommend doing that. Just the upgraded views make it worth it. The one major complaint I have about Nepal is thier roads. It took us 10hrs to drive 250 kilometres. I wouldn't even call it a road, it's just a series of potholes that you need to drive over very slowly. Our driver Dinesh did an excellent job of navigating them, but it did seem like we were spending a large chuck of every other day just driving. The distance we covered isn't large, but because the roads are atrocious, what should have taken 3-4hrs, routinely took more than twice that long. But we had a good time in Nepal despite the drives, and I would definitely recommend Ranas company any day if you choose to go to Nepal. He is very attentive to his customers needs, that's for sure.
