Our Lumbini Muktinath Janakpur and Chitwan Tour is a full-package tour that visits all the main tourist destinations in Nepal, with a special visit to Muktinath Temple in the stunning Lower Mustang region.The tour begins in Lumbini, a most sacred pilgrimage site for Buddhists, as well as a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the birth place of Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. Buddha was born in Lumbini some 2500 years ago. It is one of the iconic places in Nepal and given its historical importance, it remains a widely visited and beloved place in Nepal.
We then move to the famous trekkers' paradise, Pokhara. It lies on the picturesque Fewa Lake and the base of the Annapurna range. There is plenty to see in the area. We'll take you to Sarangkot to see the sunrise and an exquisite tour of several famous sites: Bindawasini Temple, Davi's Fall, Gupteswar Cave, and Seti Gorge. We'll spend the rest of the day checking out the sights in and around Pokhara.
Then, we take a flight from Pokhara to Jomsom, and drive to Muktinath Temple. Thousands of devotees flock at the temple for attaining the much sought after moksha, have holy bath at 108 waterspouts, name of “Muktidhara”. & Holy bath in Mukti Kunda (2 Kunda in front of Temple), believing that it brings them salvation. To visit Muktinath Temple is an absolute dream. After further exploring Pokhara, we move to Kathmandu, making a stop at Manakamana Temple along the way. We visit Manakamana Temple, enjoying the gorgeous view from the cable car on our way.
After arriving in Kathmandu, we rest for a night and then explore the city's several UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Pashupatinath Temple, Swoyambunath (also known as Monkey Temple), and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Each place is rich in culture and history. Swoyambunath is full of symbolism and is one of the oldest religious sites in Nepal (over 2000 years old!). The Buddhist temple offers an incredible view of Kathmandu. Pasupatinath Temple is the most famous Hindu temple in the country. You can see sadhus (holy men) meditating, pilgrims bathing, and bodies being cremated on the banks of the Bagmati River.
The next day we travel to Janakpur, a colorful city famous for its Janaki Temple, Dhanus Sagar, Ram & Sita Biwaha Mandap. The final destination is Chitwan National Park, famous for its biodiversity. Take a ride on the back of an elephant and possibly see rhinoceros, deer, wild boars, and even a Bengal tiger. There is plenty to do in Chitwan National Park, so use your days wisely. This package is a perfect way to make the most of your days in Nepal. It is truly the best way to see as much of the country in a liminited time frame.
